Notes: Richard Fine said the California Court system went bad in 1988 when the County of Los Angeles County , the biggest user of the Los Angeles Court system, began illegally paying California State judges (there are 450 in LA) cash payments of $46,000. per year to each judge, These judges in turn began making rulings in favor of the County in Children's Services (parents lose their children), Eminent Domain ( County takes private property) , Criminal (citizens jailed, and lose their children, property, and assets) and Housing cases

He charges that the County is paying judges - who are elected officials paid by the State- and getting rulings that allow the County take your childen, your property, your money and your freedom. Fine says that the County is involved in one way or another in everything that happens to you. Los Angeles Jail is the largest jail in the world housing 5,000. prisoners.

Los Angeles County Judges receive a $178,000 per year salary from the State, $30,000 in health and retirement benefits from the State, and an additional $ 46,379 per year in cash perks from Los Angeles County. According to Fine the Los Angeles judges receive $100,000 more that U. S. Federal District Judges and members of the United States Congress, and $30,000 more than the Chief Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court, .

In the last few years, according to Fine, judges have always ruled in favor of the County, except maybe for two cases.

When a case against Los Angeles County comes in, these judges are throwing out all cases or ruling against the plaintiff.

(After Richard Fine exposed the illegal perks and and after Judicial Watch got the perks declared illegal in the Sturgeon v Los Angeles County case, the California Chief Justice and the Los Angeles Judges paid lobbyists out of the operating fund of the state government courts, to slip a bill into the California 2009 budget to continue paying the judges the perks. It also gave the judges who had received these benefits, immunity from prosecution. California has a $42 billion dollar deficit. The State is bankrupt and getting Federal taxpayer funded bailouts and laying off police, firemen, teachers and public service employees while the foreclosure lawyers and judges are humming with business, throwing people out of their homes, garnishing wages and chasing the "debtors" they created with their questionable judgements.)
